echampArt is established to provide a platform to mainstream the traditional arts of Bihar.
We are in the field of providing digital literacy and skilling to rural youth. There are many traditional arts in Bihar which has the potential to change the fate of the area. eChampArt is our small efforts in this direction.
eChampArt is a Grass root initiative, a Social Enterprise to Empower Artisans of Bihar to break free from exploitation & poverty by enabling them to achieve financial independence through Sales of their handicrafts and handloom products. We have set a vision of facilitating livelihood for rural artisans with a holistic approach, which includes sustainable development concepts: Revival of Languishing Craft & Facilitating market through e-Commerce.
We get to know about Mehsi (A small suburb in East Champaran district) where we saw many small units of Button and Handicrafts. In lack of sufficient resources, recognition and apathy towards technology, many units are closed. We have a huge opportunity and possibility to promote and develop these art form at Global Market due to their intrinsic creativity and beauty. We need a joint effort to come out of this situation and carry on the work of promotion, Sale and uplift the Socio-Economic condition of our Artisans. Our aim is to revive these beautiful arts and be a part of Gandhian dreams of Swaraj.
